Under the theme of “Emerging technologies to cope with flood”, the report looks ahead at the direction through which flood management could go using new technologies. It discusses what technologies the MRC is using and explores other emerging technologies to cope with floods.
The report discusses lessons learned over the past 10 years. It looks at what happened over those years and draws lessons that the region can learn from the Mekong countries work to cope with flood and drought.
This report discusses the 2014 flood situation, including rainfall climate, water flow in the Mekong mainstream, and water levels across the Cambodian floodplain and the Delta in Viet Nam.
This report looks at flash floods in particular their relation with tributary and mainstream floods. It makes a comparison between these and riverine floods and discusses their impacts on their incidence and severity, such as land use changes and climate change.
This report highlights the regional incidence of typhoons and tropical storms as well as their role in the flood hydrology of the Lower Mekong River Basin. It also presents an overview of the flood season over the year and a summary of the national flood reports from the MRC Member Countries.
