Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Water Resources Management, Natural Resources Management, Climate Change, Environmental Science, or a closely related field;
  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing master plans for flood and drought management, integrated water resources management, integrated watershed management, natural resources management, gender and vulnerability assessments, economic valuation, and disaster risk reduction strategies for flood and drought scenarios;
  • Proven expertise in flood and drought management, climate change adaptation strategies, integrated watershed management, and environmental issues, particularly in the context of the Mekong River Basin, and experiences related to 3S is an advantage;
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, with a track record of delivering results on time, maintaining high responsibility, and working effectively in team settings;
  • Fluent in English with advanced written and verbal communication skills, and a strong ability to conduct detailed analytical work and problem-solving; and
  • Familiarity with the LMB’s socio-environmental dynamics and operational knowledge of the MRC and its frameworks is highly advantageous.
  • Immediate availability will be considered an advantage to the selection process.
