Qualifications and Requirements:

  • More than 15 years of international experience in river fisheries ecology, environment, coordination and management;
  • High level knowledge of and experience in assessing impacts of dams on fish communities, fisheries, water quality and aquatic ecology, including mitigation measure;
  • Demonstrated ability to write technical reports which can be readily understood by decision makers and the public;
  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with a wide range of people;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
  • Familiarity with the LMB and Mekong River Commission but particularly in developing countries would be beneficial.
  • Besides required qualities, immediate availability will be considered as an advantage to the selection process.
