Fisheries Habitat and Yield in the Lower Mekong Basin

MRC Technical Paper No.47

This study estimates how the major flood zone, the rainfed zone and permanent water bodies in the Lower Mekong contribute to the yield of fish and other aquatic animals. The estimated range of yield is 1.3 to 2.7 million tonnes per year, similar to an earlier estimate but now better supported and showing more clearly the probable source of yield.
