CEO Pham Tuan Phan received the students and lecturers at his office before their tour around the MRC building, visiting the MRC’s four divisions and meeting with staff. The students and lecturers were welcomed and briefed about the MRC and its work by Anoulak Kittikhoun, Chief Partnership and Strategy Officer, and they were provided with information of the MRC human resource structure and what they can do to be a staff at the MRC by Bounthanome Mixap, HR Officer. The visit to the MRC Information Center, later on, was an opportunity for them to learnt on how to explore valuable information, especially on water resources management in Mekong River Basin, to support for their research and study.

”Young people are the future of the world. To manage the Mekong river sustainably, we need to maintain our knowledge in a sustainable manner and one effective way is to work with students”, said CEO Pham Tuan Phan.

“It is a great opportunity for young people like me and my friends to know about the work of the MRC and how important it is to protect and manage the Mekong river properly,” continued sharing Moukda Sonepheth. “I have learnt many new things today. It is amazing to see people from four different countries to come to work together and learn about their work at different positions at the organisation.”

”I hope the MRC can organise this activity more often. It is really useful for both students and lecturers”, said Sopha Keoinpaeng, a lecturer from Faculty of Natural Sciences.
