Title:

Modeling working session -  Finalization of the model set up and simulation for 2040 sub-development scenarios

Date:

RFMMC, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Summary:

Upon the completion of the modeling result of the main development scenarios (2007, 2020 and 2040), the modeling team of the council study (CS) has continued their effort to deliver the modeling output of the 2040 sub-development scenarios for the selected thematic sectors as agreed schedule. The working session will provide the opportunity for all modeling experts and CS team to work together on some technical issues and cross check the results of each model output, then integrate them into the specific output as required by each thematic sector and discipline team.

The team will i) review the modeling setup and simulation; ii) conduct QA/QC processes for each modeling tool in term of its performance, and test the quality of outputs deliverable; iii) prepare a draft modeling report on CS 2040 sub-development scenarios results.

 

Title:

Technical working session for sub-scenario model setup and run

Date:

Venue:

RFMMC, Cambodia

Summary:

The technical working session will be organized for the modelling team and Council Study (CS) model consultants to work together on the sub-scenarios of the CS. This working session will also be the stage for the modellers to discuss and solve issues on the technical work.

 

Title:

3rd  Meeting of the PNPCA JCWG for the Pak Beng Hydropower Project Prior Consultation Process

Date:

7 June 2017

Venue:

Vientiane, Lao PDR

Summary:

The meeting will provide the opportunity for the PNPCA JCWG to discuss and comment on the 2nd  TRR draft, then finalise. The finalised draft report will take into account the outcomes from the national and regional consultations, and then submitted  to the MRC JC for discussion and negotiation during its Special Session scheduled for 19 June 2017 in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

 

Title:

National consultation meeting on Mekong Adaptation Strategy and Action Plan and Transboundary Projects for Cambodia (MASAP)

Date:

8-9 June 2017

Venue:

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Summary:

The meeting is to present and seek comments/suggestions on second draft of MASAP, provide advice on further steps to finalise the MASAP, and discuss on identifying transboundary adaptation projects.
