Regional consultation workshop on Draft State of Basin Report (SOBR v2.2)

Summary:

After completion of the four national consultations with the MCs, the ED has consolidated all comments/suggestions raised by the MCs and produced the version 2.2 SOB Report. This draft version will be discussed at a regional consultation workshop at MRCS in VTE on 14 March 2017, with the following objectives:

  • Present the responses to the MCs’ comments and suggestions and proposed actions needed to be taken;
  • Present the version 2.2 State of the Basin Report; and
  • Present and discuss SOBR’s Core Team, key strategic and assessment indicators, proposed outline, additional data collection work plan and budget for 2018 State of the Basin Report preparation.

Participatory Video Exchange Workshop in Songkhla Lake

Date:

Venue:

Hat Yai and Songkhla Lake’s 3 pilot sites, Thailand

Summary:

Representatives of Cambodia’s Tonle Sap Lake and Thailand’s Songkhla Lake will get together to produce video clips on the livelihoods and lake management issues in Songkhla to learn from each other. The video clips produced will be shown to people in the Songkhla community and later its translated versions will be screened in the Tonle Sap community. This is a second joint activity of the Participatory Video Exchange initiative under the two lakes communications outreach project, which is supported by the MRC Integrated Water Resources Management Project.
