New Mekong-HYCOS project remains on track after consultation with regional and international experts

*Vientiane, Lao PDR, 14 July 2016 – *The Mekong River Commission (MRC) and the Compagnie National du Rhône (CNR) held a regional consultation to present their work plan for the expansion of the Mekong-Hydro Meteorological Cycle Observation System, better known as Mekong-HYCOS, to improve flood and drought forecasting and data application in other areas such as fisheries, agriculture and navigation.

Sister Lakes Recommit to Joint Learning for Better Lake Governance

MRC Secretariat handovers a speedboat and floating dock to line agency in Cambodia

*Phnom Penh, Cambodia, 13 May 2016 –* The Mekong River Commission Secretariat in Phnom Penh on 10 May transferred its navigation speedboat and floating dock along with some spare parts to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport’s Waterway Department through the Cambodia National Mekong Committee to be used for any navigational works of the Department specifically and the Ministry generally.

Mekong River Commission, China discuss joint study

Member Countries Agree on Next Steps for “Council Study” on Sustainable Development of the Mekong River Basin

*Vientiane, Lao PDR, 31 March 2016 –* A comprehensive study on sustainable management and development of the Mekong River has completed its first phase and will move into the second phase later this year with the aim of completing it in 2017, as representatives of the four Mekong countries agreed on the next course of actions at a regional meeting in Vientiane at the Mekong River Commission Secretariat.
