According to the Stakeholder Participation Plan and Communication Plan for Basin Planning in the Lower Mekong Basin (SPCP) of the MRC Basin Development Plan Programme Phase 2 (BDP2), a Panel of Experts (POE) comprising international and regional experts was formed to provide a quality assessment of the main BDP2 outputs.
These outputs are:
The Terms of Reference for the POE has been developed in consultation with Member Countries. The Regional POE carried out its first mission in May 2010, followed by the first joint mission in June 2010. The following interim findings of the POE are provided in three brief reports and one presentation drafted and developed by each of the POE Regional and International Teams. The second joint mission of the International and Regional POE Members was carried out from 28 September through 8 October 2010. The mission resulted in separate reports by the International and Regional POE Members. Please find the report links below for your download and information.
Note: The Regional POE comprises Dr. Sokhem Pech, Hatfield Manager/M-POWER Co-Chair; Dr. Manida Unkulvasapaul, Independent Consultant, retired World Bank Senior Environmental Specialist; Mr. Dipak Gyawali; Independent Consultant, former Nepal Water Resources Minister, M-POWER Advisor; and Ms. Kate Lazarus, Coordinator, M-POWER and CPWF-Mekong Multi-stakeholder Platforms. Mr. To Phuc Tuong, Sr. Scientist of IRRI will join the next mission.
