The MRC offers various ways for individuals, organisations, universities, companies, and governments to engage with the organisation. This section outlines different work opportunities at the MRC.
The Human Resources Section (HRS) of the Mekong River Commission Secretariat manages employment opportunities across the organisation, all of which are advertised on this website. HRS wants to ensure the development of the right skills, competencies and organisational culture in the MRC in order to support full implementation of the MRC Strategic Plan.

Consultancies and Tenders
The MRC receives its funding from its MRC Member Countries – Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Viet Nam – and from a number of Development Partners. The MRC uses part of its funding for goods, works, related services and consultancies.
Procurement is conducted according to MRC procedures and is open to all bidders. Specific procurement notices are announced as they become available on this website, on dgMarket and/or other media. Interested bidders who wish to be included on the mailing list or those requiring additional information should contact the procurement unit.

Junior Riparian Professionals
The Junior Riparian Professionals (JRP) project provides training and hands-on experience to young riparian professionals in the core areas of Integrated Water Resources Management. The JRP project promotes the development of a regional network for Mekong cooperation, which involves capacity building for 40 promising young professionals from the Lower Mekong Basin.
This programme accepts one to two applicants per year from the MRC Member Countries and one from its Dialogue Partner.
